White label candles are wholesale candles which are manufactured by someone else and then shipped to you without labels allowing you to rebrand as your own. The products you receive are going to be the same style jars, lids, waxes and fragrances the manufacturer is already offering and producing. There is also going to be a certain MOQ (minimum order quantity) required in order to purchase at the wholesale type pricing.
You may be asking why someone would do this? Wholesale manufacturers of candles take the labor and inventory costs away from the retail business. The reseller in this example just needs to focus on selling a finished product. And, with these being white labeled, they will arrive without labels on them. After adding your own custom labels, you now have a branded product of your own.
Why do they have a MOQ? In order for wholesale manufacturers to keep their cost per unit low, they produce in batches. For example, instead of making 1 or 2 at a time, they might make 10 or 20 at a time. The labor cost gets spread across more candles instead of 1-2 candles, which allows the price per candle to be lower.
Also, white label candle manufacturers will NOT tell others who they are making candles for. There is an understood confidentiality agreement between the manufacturer and the retailer.
